Community Services

  • Centennial Rotary’s first International Community Service Project was jointly sponsored with the Rotary Clubs of Novosibirsk-Ob and Ussiriisk, Far East Russia. The program brought young musicians to Colorado from Taiwan and Russia. The talented young people used their musical talents to bring a message of world understanding, cooperation, hope and peace to the citizens of Colorado. Their first performance was at the Centennial Rotary Charter Night. The relationship continued when our young Russian friends joined with members of the Novosibirsk-Orb and Ussiriisk clubs to send us messages of condolence and support following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
  • Project Cure benefited from Centennial Rotary’s initial commitment to “Service Above Self”. Members participated in sorting excess medical supplies and equipment for shipment to countries all over the world.
  • Our inaugural year saw Centennial join with fellow Rotarians in Boulder and Littleton to provide wheelchairs for disabled people and books for newborns and their parents.
  • Centennial Rotary joined with the Outback Steakhouse to raise funds for an annual college scholarship. Applicants must demonstrate work experience in addition to attending school and submit a service project as part of their application.
