Happy Bucks

  • Jennifer passed the buck for notetaking to collect bucks.
  • She started it with a buck for Hugh, tongue in cheek.
  • Kye gave multiple bucks for leaving early, a lost summer and for knowing she will miss a bunch of meetings this summer because of a huge new project at work.
  • Tex gave a buck for Roxy “scooting out her presidency” early.
  • James gave a dollar for their daughter’s graduation.
  • Tom, Dan and Paul all gave money in appreciation of Mami being our program.  Paul of course gave an additional buck for scooting.
  • Hugh coughed up money for both his new promotion (he won’t be transferring to a Castle Rock Club) and because he is running in the marathon next week in the Black Hills.
  • Randy gave two dollars, one for Jennifer stepping up to be notetaker with no notice and the second for Dr. Paul’s new hair.
  • Bob S. in celebration of his son’s graduation with honors from college.
  • Dan R. coughed up a dollar for Randy’s hurt leg and mentioned something about bungee cords.

Program

  • Mami, an exchange student from Japan.
  • Highlights of her slide show about her year here:
  • Pictures of her family and their restaurant in Japan
  • Various pics of her and friends at Ponderosa H.S., homecoming, the orchestra, blind date at prom and a trip to the mountains and Minnesota.
  • She has been playing the violin since she was three and finished her presentation with a wonderful selection on her violin.

Marbles

Tex had his ticket drawn. With the pot sitting at $1439, he pulled one of the few clear marbles.  A very tacky comment from one the Club’s most respected members brought the house down.  No more details are available.
