  • Laurie talked about a fundraiser for the new Macy’s (formerly Foley’s) and will give more details as they come available.
  • Frank told the Club that Cliff Dugal suffered a heart situation during the evacuation of the apartments in Aurora that have asbestos.  What does the Club want to do?
  • Tex shared with the Club information about the presentation of the plaque of thanks from the City of Centennial about the State of the City function.  A sign-up sheet and maps were passed around.  The meeting is June 19, next Monday.
  • A Project Cure sign-up sheet came around and NO ONE signed up.
  • We will be dark on 6/27 to have our Changing of the Guard function at Barbara’s.  Dress is Hawaiian and it will be a potluck.  Attendance should be 100%.
  • Travel gifts were presented:  Randy brought Florida coffee and Key Lime Pie juice.  Ben brought back a bottle of wine from Iowa.

  • Barb gave money in thanks for a wonderful wedding for her daughter.
  • Tom B. in apology for missing the upcoming changing of the guard, as they will be on a long trip.
  • Ben gave a couple of bucks in thanks for being here and Randy’s surgery.
  • Frank L. gave a dollar’s worth of thanks for Kye’s husband’s quartet and told us that he is bringing his ukulele and doing an imitation of Tiny Tim.
  • Greg C. was thankful for his youngest son’s newest job with Christian Porter, an ad agency in Miami.
  • Pete gave a buck’s worth of thanks to Mark G. for helping with the coin counting machine.

Program

Pigs ‘r Us
The weighing committee consisted of Ken H., Tom B., Jeff P., and Frank Loner.  It was disappointing that only 13 members participated in the pig savings contest.

Although Tom Buck’s pigs weighed the most and had the most money, he shared his prizes with Kye, who had the second heaviest pig.  A total of $436.76 was collected for our 501C3 foundation.  Congratulations, but imagine what we could have collected if everyone had participated.  Please realize that this is an on-going project.  Please continue to fill your PIGS!!

CongratulationsMARBLES

Mark G. had his number drawn.  Needless to say, he drew the blue marble, the only one left, and pocketed a cool $1642.00.  Way to go Mark and way to go Centennial Rotary Club.  During Roxy’s year, the 50/50 (Marble game) has raised close to $2000.

IMAGINE HOW MUCH GOOD THAT MONEY WILL DO IN OUR COMMUNITY!!!
