Announcements

  • Please remember that if you can't handle your assigned duties, we encourage you to find your own replacement and notify Roxy
  • Roxy started out the announcements by showing the Club her travel gift, a bookmark from the Metropolitan Museum. SHE ALSO ASKED THE CLUB MEMBERS TO BRING BACK TRAVEL GIFTS TO ASSIST OUR CLUB IN RAISING MONEY AND TO HAVE FUN AT THE HOLIDAY PARTY.
  • Roxy also met members of the Orange, CA. Sunrise club at a Halloween booth at a safe street function in California while exploring college opportunities with her daughter, Alexa. That Club is a 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club, a wonderful accomplishment.
  • Greg passed the new Club directories. Thanks Greg, a HUGE task.
  • Laurie reported that the Willow Creek clean-up and Pizza party went very well. We missed you all that signed up and didn't show.
  • Tex shared with the Club the potential problems our elder parents face with the medical prescription program that they must sign up for before January 1. Both Tex and Hank said that the program is very confusing and everyone must check the drugs that your parents need and the corresponding program. Hank said that Walgreen's has some information available in their stores.
  • Roxy reminded the Club that the board will meet on Wednesday November 2.
  • Greg reminded members of the Country Dinner Playhouse function on November 19th.
  • Marcos asked members to begin bringing toys for the Denver Children's Home holiday project.

Happy Bucks

  • Jennifer was in rare style, fining Hugh for his earlier behavior and she would not allow Hugh to speak during Happy Bucks.
  • Hugh gave a dollar and said that "it must really suck when I'm gone."
  • Paul gave money for the Bronco win, Greg's directory and for scooting.
  • Dan H. gave a buck for scooting.
  • Jack gave money to thank Greg and for scooting to deliver a used care.
  • Kye gave a buck to note that their house in Olathe was under contract. CONGRATS!!
  • Marc gave money so that Hugh could put his foot in his mouth.
  • Pete gave a buck for reasons not noted here.
  • Roxy gave money in thanks for the directories, the Bronco win and the trip with Alexa.
  • Bryan gave a buck in thanks for going trick or treating with his daughter for the first time.
  • Barb gave money in thanks for the directories.
  • Frank gave a buck in hopes that Hugh will be quiet.
  • Bryan introduce the speaker, Michael Scanlon. Bryan meet him at one of our booths at the Littleton street event.
  • Michael spent 20 minutes speaking on the virtues of referendums C and D. Although he said that he did have some selfish reasons for their passing,( he has two kids and one on the way), he also said that his beliefs passed the 4 Way Test. He emphasized that the "glitch" in TABOR would be fixed by passing C and D. He spent a lot more time, but by the time this reaches you, the results will be known.
