Visitors:

  1. Charles and Mary Ellen Jackson, Texas.
  2. Robert Wareham, Highlands Ranch
  3. Chady (sp) Denver SE
  4. Rob Koltiska– guest of Randy Pote.

Happy Bucks of note:

  • Several kudos to Laurie for a fine year.
  • Several more kudos to Mark Gale and his loyal, humble, and ever so quiet side kick Randy for their fine work in planning and carrying out the Littleton event. We will have $ totals in several weeks.
  • Hank for surviving a harrowing trip from California with Great Aunt’s pet menagerie and ever so functional turn signal on the Town Car.
  • Barb for her trip to Jamestown and other historical sites who brought back with her a traveling gift commemorating the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown.
  • Rick who finished the Colfax half marathon, finishing near the top of his very old age group.
  • Ben who will be traveling to Iowa with wife and daughter ( to hopefully gather more baby loot and large checks)
  • Greg who returned from Tahiti and had a symbolic toast for the travails of Hank
  • Kent who will be in homebrewer’s heaven this week-end.
  • Ken and Mark who noted the marriage of Ken’s daughter, Heather.
  • Scooter’s usual.
  • For all of you who I have forgotten - your happy bucks just weren’t very memorable in this old guy’s brain – sorry!

Program:

Robert Wareham gave a short intro on HAM radio technology and use. It was followed by fellow HAM expert Perry Lundquist who presented a detailed slide slow regarding the Greensburg, KS tornado and the efforts of both Kansas and Colorado HAM volunteers who assisted in restoring communication and in the recovery effort.

Jeff Hancock: Sorry
