Hank should be out of the hospital within the week.

Jessica was introduced by Laurie. She is from the Arapahoe Library District and explained next month’s "Big Read." The book will be Fahrenheit 451 and she passed out several copies.

Board meeting on 10/22 at Jennifer’s office with the District Governor. His official visit is the next day.

October 6 is our Rebuild Together project. Kent asked for more volunteers. Barb volunteered to organize lunch.

Pete gave an update on the India Water Project.

Charlie gave a synopsis of the weekend seminar on Matching grants.

Holiday party at Heritage Eagle Bend on December 15.

Traveling gifts brought by Andres and Roxy.

Happy Bucks

  • Pete for relocation closer to work.
  • Roxy for a long weekend in Montana .
  • Laurie for working the Streets of Southglenn. "WHAT?"
  • Paul a sad buck for the Broncos and scooting.
  • Jennifer for the Buckeyes.

Program

Larry Baldwin gave an excellent presentation of "Effective Listening."

Good listening is an active process. You need to have comprehension, eye contact and ask questions.

The barriers to listening are selective, interpretation, retention and attention.

This was a very good program. You don’t want to miss any meetings.

Marbles

Pete drew a clear marble, bummer. Next week is a 1 in 79 chance for the blue one and the pot starts at $275.
