Program

Governor Dave Beal welcomed Hank back, acknowledged Assistant Governor Mary Kay Hasz as the person with all the answers and thanked his father for the impact upon his life. His father was a Rotarian with 43 years of perfect attendance and someone who motto was, “Give back more than you get”. He thanked the club for the “awesome” work in all four avenues of service and for our great Foundation. He mentioned four areas where the District needs the club’s assistance:

  1. Contributions to the District calendar so we can share all our great activities
  2. Submit articles for the District newsletter
  3. Grow our membership
  4. Support RI activities such as GSE teams, RYLA, youth exchange programs and RI scholarships

Governor Beal has eight goals for his year:

  1. Increase membership by 5%
  2. Raise $1,000,000 for the RI Foundation. That is a dollar a day from each Rotarian
  3. 100% of all clubs participating in international activities
  4. 90% of all clubs receiving presidential citations
  5. Promote the Four Way Test in the community especially high schools
  6. Support the two GSE teams
  7. Support two Ambassadorial Scholarships
  8. HAVE FUN!!!!

Governor Beal presented Andres with his blue badge and ended his remarks asking all new members to get involved and challenged all of us to “Make the world a better place”.

Marbles

Ann Beal drew Andres number for the chance to win $362 and he drew a clear marble. Stay tuned for next week’s efforts to draw the elusive blue marble.
