Program

Irv Buck and Joe Inglestat from the Parker Club gave a great presentation on the recent water projects they have been a part of. We worked with them on one of them.

Irv established a personal relationship with a GSE team leader from India several years ago and that is what jump-started the Parker Club’s participation. The area south of the old city formerly named Bombay. The only have water during the monsoon season, which lasts 3-5 months. The volcanic soil doesn’t hold any of the moisture and the first project built 18 wells for 18 villages, serving 20,000 people.

Our Club’s participation in the second project helped build 41 wells.

They asked us for help on a new project that will be co-sponsored by the Parker Club and Seattle #4. It will be a huge project that is modeled after a German project that includes a dam to hold the monsoon rains and wells.

Marbles

Randy had his ticket number drawn and worked hard to pull a clear marble. The pot was $68. Please participate each week to build the pot for both the winner and our Club.
