Announcements

Kent’s Rotary Minute touched on Youth Exchange and the difference the program makes to everyone who gets involved. At District Conference, all the youth start the Conference by carrying all the flags of the countries that have Clubs. It is very moving.

Andres brought a guest, Ricardo. He works with Andres.

Marc spent a few minutes going over the assignments for the State of Our City function.

Jeff reminded us that Project Cure sorting is Thursday.

  • Randy gave $2, happy it is Tuesday and that he finished moving his mother-in-law last weekend.
  • Pete was a buck happy.
  • Hank happy it is 4/15 and he won’t have to pay taxes again soon.
  • Dan gave $2, welcoming our guest and thanking friends.
  • Andres gave for having Ricardo present and announced that he will be out of the country for awhile.
  • Jennifer gave money so Ricardo can share with the Club info about Randy. He has his degree in psychology.
  • Jeff was a dollar happy for something.
  • Randy pulled out another dollar in celebration for Andres going out of the country.

He share info about a 501C3 he started, SAFI (Support Africa Empowerment Foundation International) He is the 23rd of 26 children and said that there are many large families in Kenya. His way of giving back is to "teach one to fish, not give them fish." He is hosting a fundraiser soon and invited the Club members. He said that he is looking into working with Rotary as a partner.
