Program

Aurora Gateway charter member Tom Ashburn from Excel Energy spoke on Alternative Energy.

He has been with Public Service/Excel for 40 years.

He asked Dan to stop by the new baseball park in Philly. The leftfield alley is named after his cousin, Richie. Dan said he would.

They are the 5th largest utility in the States. Excel is also the #1 wind provider in the U.S. and a leader in photovoltaic systems.

It takes 1 megawatt of fossil fuel per 1000 households.

The national policy of conserving energy is becoming a reality. One of the biggest problems is that no one wants to be energy efficient.

Excel plans on reducing fossil fuel dependence by 3% in the next 8 years.

The past 10 years the use per customer is up 19% and the peak demands are up 57%.

He gave us a great program and we missed you that weren’t present.

Tom asked all who have air conditioning at their home call 800-895-4999 for an energy saver switch.

Marbles

With a pot over $900, Hank drew a clear marble with the odds at 1 in 25.
