Rotary Club of Centennial Sept 4th Meeting

Jennifer called the brief meeting to order at 7:10. We were without a speaker, so it was brief.

Announcements

  • The Club welcomed Andres Osuna, category Cement Manufacturing, as our almost official newest member. Welcome Andres!!!
  • Kent updated us on the Rebuild America project scheduled for October 13th. We will be working on a house near University and Dry Creek that is owned by an 88 year old woman and is need of some fairly minor repairs. Kent as the House Captain is in need of a Skill Captain. So contact Kent if you can help out.
  • Hank is improving, is still in the hospital and is hoping to go on a cruise in October.
  • Jeff Piercy has a Bonfils blood drive number for anyone who would like to donate in Hank’s name.
  • There will be a Board Meeting at Jen’s office on Thursday, September 6th.
  • Peaches will be ready for pickup on Saturday, September 8th between 8-12 at the Embassy Suites. They are rarely on time so plan on 9-12 unless you want to wait.
  • Our challenge question was who interviewed MacDonald’s founder Ray Kroc. And the answer is, Randy Pote who has the newspaper article as proof.
  • Dan Hoopes was last week’s challenge question and Dan played the bass drum while standing on his head. It is an Ohio State thing.
  • Jen also passed out hotel comment cards for recognizing exceptional service.

Happy Bucks

  • Randy and Jeff Percy were happy to be here
  • Dan Hoopes was celebrating his 24th wedding anniversary
  • Dan Ruparel was in WY last week and glad to be back
  • Ken Hope was unhappy with the Rams Buffs score L
  • Jen had two happy bucks Ohio St won and Michigan lost to Appalachian State J
  • Barb had a great time in Italy

Marbles

Ken Hope won $10.00 and a chance to draw the blue marble. And, sadly drew a clear marble. With the pot at $196 and growing, the odds next week are 1 in 87.
